20% Down Payment Assistance
  • Shared Appreciation Down Payment Assistance loan with up to 20% in Assistance for Down Payment and Closing Costs
  • Avoid mortgage insurance by using the full 20% towards down payment
  • Update July 2023: program ran out of the initial round of funds on July 7, 2023. As of July 18, 2023, the Legislature passed, and Governor Gavin Newsom signed into law, the 2023-24 State Budget which provides $200 million for the CalHFA Dream for All Shared Appreciation Loan program
  • CalHFA will provide an update fall 2023 that will include a timeline for applications for Round 2
3% - 3.5% Down Payment Assistance
  • Provides assistance to cover the minimum down payment requirement for first-time homebuyers
  • Can be used to cover closing costs as well
  • No monthly payment for the down payment assistance
  • No equity sharing. Program charges 1% simple interest per annum due at an exit event (refinance, sale, end of loan term) – Ask us how this works!
2% - 3% Closing Cost Assistance
  • Closing cost assistance only
  • Can be combined with MyHome Assistance program for both down payment and closing cost assistance

  • No first time homebuyer requirement
