Weekly Mortgage Applications – 01-08-2020

  • 30 Year Mortgage Rate decreased at 3.64% compared to 3.72% last week. The 30 year rock bottom rate touched in last 10 years is 3.4%

  • 15 Year Mortgage Rate decreased at 3.07% compared to 3.16% last week. The 15 year rock bottom rate touched in last 10 years is 2.66%

  • 5/1 Adjustable Rate Mortgage Rate decreased to 3.3% compared to 3.46% last week. The 15 year rock bottom rate touched in last 10 years is 2.67%

  • Rates are still low. Purchase or Refinance before rates move up further

  • Mortgage applications increased by 13.5%  for the week ended January 08, 2020

  • Mortgage apps generally move in the inverse direction of rates

  • Rate are still low. If already on a fixed  30 year rate, change to a 15 year fixed loan and cut your term!

US Homes Sales Report – November 2019

  • Number of units of existing home sales for month of November 2019 is at 5,350,000 and is at a 1.7 decrease compared to last month

  • West census region is at 1,090,000 number of units and is at a 3.5% decrease for November 2019 compared to last month. Midwest  region for November 2019 is at 1,320,000 number of units, a 2.3% increase compared to last month

  • South region for November 2019 is at 2,224,000 number of units and is at a 3.9% decrease from month ago

  • Northeast region for November 2019 is at 55,000 number of units and is 9.8% lower than last month

US Homes Prices Report – November 2019

Housing Starts – November 2019

  • Median Sales Price of Existing Homes in US increased to $271,300 with a 0.1% increase from month ago

  • Median Sales Price in West increased to $410,700 with a 1.0% increase in November 2019 compared to last month

  • Midwest median sales price decreased to $209,700 with a 0.5% increase compared to last month and South is at $234,400 reflecting a 0.4% decrease from month ago

  • Northeast median sales price has increased to $301,700 reflecting a 1.7% increase from month ago

  • New privately owned housing unit starts decreased to 245,000 units with 2.9% percent change from year ago

  • Housing Starts:2-4 Units is at 23,000 units in November 2019 with a 109.1% increase from year ago. Housing Starts Total: New Privately Owned housing units starts increased to 1,365,000 units with a 13.6% increase in November 2019 from year ago

  • Privately Owned Housing Starts 1 Unit Structures increased to 938,000 units with a 16.7% increase from year ago

  • Privately Owned Housing Starts 5 Unit Structures or More increased to 404,000 units with a 4.4% increase from year ago
